Can I see a different doctor besides my family doctor?

I feel like my GP is incompetent so tomorrow, me and my mother are planning to go see a different doctor. Can we just go see him like that, if he accepts our insurance, or is it a little more complicated?|||If that doctor accepts your insurance, than by rights you can see anyone you wish. Unless you have Kaiser, than your screwed. You can also seek a Specialist's advice independently, but it may cost you.
