How much does a doctor get when he sells a foreskin to a skin cream company?

I was just reading an article in the NY times about some circumcision issue and they said that one foreskin can be used to grow $100,000 in skin cells for cosmetics or grafts, and that most doctors only reccomended it because they could get money for it. How much would a doctor get paid?|||It's quite a racket. The doctors reccommend circumcision to the parents, they charge the parents for mutilating a helpless infant, and then turn around and sell the amputated infants' foreskins.

And the doctors are even more biased than just making money from it, because a lot of them belong to the religions that try to impose the mutilation of circumcision on all males.

Doctors don't disclose and in fact they actually suppress the adverse effects and complications resulting from the mutilation of circumcision.

They never address the issue of diminished sexual sensitivity and function, and full disclosure is never given to parents.

That's how the practice of RIC--routine infant circumcision became so widespread in the USA. In most of the rest of the world, people were more intelligent, and never believed the propaganda from the medical profession about the supposed "benefits" of genital mutilation.

Obviously, the neural and vascular damage of circumcision diminishes sexual sensitivity and function--anyone with a glimmer of intelligence can understand it.

Female genital mutilation--female circumcision--of infants is illegal, and male circumcision of infants should be, as well.

How can anyone justify mutilating babies?

Circumcision is the worst hoax ever perpetrated on the male sex.

A foreskin is not a birth defect; it is a birthright.

ERIC|||i think they sell them by the pound LOL

plus what they charge to mutilate the baby|||I think 20 cents each|||LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL.|||That's not how they get paid. The doctor gets paid for performing the surgery itself. Every surgical procedure adds a doctors fee. The hospital bill will include the fee for the extra night stay for recovery/observation and the cost of any anesthesia (if used).

The hospital itself sells the discarded foreskins to pharmaceutical companies and that's how they get paid. Those companies then use the foreskin to test cosmetics or for skin grafts. It's a multimillion dollar industry in the US, but one that you don't really hear too much about (for obvious reasons).|||Quite a bit. I'd guess close to $1,000.

Of course, most foreskins aren't taken by the doctors. Parents usually keep them just like they keep umbilical cords, or they bury them in accordance with their religion.

I also gotta add:

"It's not legal to circumcise girls, just boys. This is only because the christian bible says so." - yagerbomb, that would be the torah, the jewish bible, and the Qu'ran.

"The religions that try to impose the mutilation of circumcision on all males."- e w

You two and anybody else who says stuff like that, go here: http://www.americannaziparty.com/ and join. You can call us idiots for circumcising, you can call us ignorant for citing health benefits as a reason for it, you can call us child abusers for circumcising our children, but don't you dare insult my religion. That simple.
